I was honored to speak at today’s meeting.  Now that I have returned to the Danvers Y after 8 years off, I was able to update you on some of the projects and new programs we are offering at the Y.  My Board of Directors, staff, members and volunteers are very grateful for the Danvers Rotary donating $3,000 towards our Campership Program at our Stiles Pond Summer Camp.  This year we were able to send 40 youth campers to our Camp where they were able to participate in swim lessons, recreation swim, boating, canoeing, fishing, challenge course, adventure and themed activities, hiking, sports, arts and crafts, indoor games and archery.  Remember, if you are a member of any Y, you can use your membership at any location in the USA.  If you are not a member of the Danvers Y and you would like to try us out – let me know and I will provide you with a 3 day pass.  Thank you again for all you do.  You made 40 of our Youth and Family members very happy.
Quote of the Day:  “The time we take to serve those who need us can be the turning point within their lives but also in our own.”  Rolf J. Klarich, The Rotarian 1980.
