Welcome:  President Jacki Shambaugh opened today’s meeting. 
Lunch:  Coffee, salad, shrimp scampi, sandwiches, and apple crisp for desert.
Rotary Moment:  Barry Kaplan’s Rotary Moment picking up the Bocce Ball Tournament Trophy.   Larry Raimondi – loved his bread he won last week and he shared it with his son.
Visiting Rotarians:  Brian Ahearn from Buffalo NY (Soon to be joining our club).  Brian also brought some homemade breads for raffle prizes.  Guess who won another loaf of  bread?  Read on…………
  • Larry Ramondi – reminded us that the Navy Band will be playing August 16th at the Rotary Pavilion at 6pm.  8 piece band.  This event is sponsored by the Danvers Rotary.
  • BOTTOM’S UP – Update -  It was reported that Larry DeLorenzo’s event was a big success.   $17,000 was raised with close to 500 people in attendance.  This Tribute was for Jeff DeLorenzo on August 3rd at the Danversport Waterfront Patio.  There was LIVE music featuring “Horizon & The Horns – Ray Novak and a DJ.  All proceeds went to the Boys and Girls Club of Salem.  NOT TOO LATE TO MAKE A DONATION:  If you would like to make a donation – please contact Larry.  Make check out to Salem Boys and Girls Club and leave with Larry.
  • Dan Dougherty – gave us an update on the Wiffle Ball Tournament.  He thanked all who attended and volunteered.  We net $8,000.00.  The rain held out til about noon time.  Team Danvers YMCA came in first place.  Left over food was donated to the Danvers Food Pantry.  See Photos Below of the event.  He was a fun event, lots of spectators and friends.  John Archer opened with the Star Spangled Banner.  Close to 20 teams signed up of a;ll ages.  We had about 10 Rotarians that volunteered.
  • June 28th – Concert at the Rotary Pavilion
  • Rotoplast – Gary reminded us that Rotary International is still looking for volunteers to help with the Rotoplast mission.
  • Farmers Market – Is doing well.  Be sure to visit the market.

Sheriff’s Report.  This week we collected $138.
Stan is celebrating 59 years of marriage.  Neil wants more rain, Barry is glad to have his trophy, Don for the wiffle ball tourney, John was in NH, Dan for wiffle ball, Alden is celebrating 67 years of marriage,
Raffle:  John Somes was todays unlucky raffle winner…. Larry Raimondi earned himself another Gourmet Bread..He is now up to 3 loafs of bread.
