Friends Of The Danvers Rotary

Would you like to make a difference in your community?

Are you too busy with family or work to attend regular Rotary meetings?

Would you like to make new friends, network with like-minded people whilst having fun using skills and experience that are valuable and needed in our community?

Rotary Club of Danvers

Friend of Rotary is a program that invites individuals like you to team with Rotary in helping provide programs and services to our communities both locally and internationally.

Being a Friend of Rotary allows you to help in local fundraising by participating in club events. Some club events are not specifically for fundraising but for socializing. Rotarians call this fellowship, an opportunity to enjoy activities and each other’s company.

Start as a “Friend of Rotary” and watch good things happen! Life is better with friends. :)

There’s no obligation to attend or take part in anything, but you will always be our welcome guest if you do.

Benefits of Friends of Rotary

  • Supporting Rotary projects that help local or international communities

  • A way for those who cannot make Rotary meetings to feel involved

  • It can be a stepping stone for someone who wants to invest in the community but does not know a lot about Rotary

  • Receive our email newsletter keeping you aware of our activities

  • You have an open invitation to come along to any Rotary get together

  • It can lead to full-time Rotary membership if desired.

How to join Rotary as a Friend

We meet for lunch most months twice at the Danvers Y. Come hear local community leaders and other speakers of interest, meet club members, some of whom you may already know, and find out about our fundraising projects to learn how you can help create and participate in projects.

There is a modest membership fee of $50* for a Rotary Friend.

We ask you to pay the cost of your chosen meal (if you choose to have a meal) when you attend our Get Togethers. (Typically $20)
